A Golden Weekend: Highlights from Our 2nd Annual Sunflower Festival
This past Saturday and Sunday, Vineyard Farm hosted its 2nd Annual Sunflower Festival, and it truly was a golden weekend to remember! Families, friends, and visitors from all over joined us for a celebration filled with sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable moments among the blooms.
The fields were glowing with golden flowers, creating the perfect backdrop for photos, memories, and fun. Guests enjoyed everything from sunflower picking and farm-fresh food to live music and family activities. These are just some of the highlights from this year’s Sunflower Festival, which continues to grow as one of our most beloved traditions.
But here’s the best part: the fun doesn’t end once you leave the farm. If you took home a bouquet from the festival, there are plenty of creative ways to enjoy your sunflowers long after the weekend is over. Here are three inspiring ideas:

3 Creative Things to Do with Your Sunflowers 🌻
- Create a Stunning Home Arrangement
Bring the sunshine indoors! Place your sunflowers in a tall vase with fresh water and let them brighten up your kitchen table, living room, or entryway. For an extra touch, mix them with wildflowers or greenery for that rustic farmhouse look.
- Turn Them Into Edible Art – Roasted Sunflower Seeds
Did you know you can roast sunflower seeds from the flower head you picked? With just a little salt and olive oil, you can make a crunchy and healthy snack that will remind you of the Sunflower Festival every time you taste it.
- Press the Petals for Keepsakes
Preserve your sunflower memories by pressing the petals. Place them between the pages of a heavy book for a week or two, and then use them to create handmade cards, bookmarks, or framed art. It’s a beautiful way to keep the golden weekend alive all year long.
More Than Just a Festival
The 2nd Annual Sunflower Festival was more than just a flower-filled event. At Vineyard Farm, we are a regenerative farm that cares for the soil, the ecosystem, and the community around us so that moments like this can continue to bloom for generations.
We loved hosting each and every one of you for this year’s Sunflower Festival highlights, and we can’t wait to see you again at the next edition. Until then, may your sunflowers continue to brighten your home, your table, and your heart. 💛
